Spring haiku

Haiku are an unrhymed verse form made popular centuries ago.  Although originally religious chants they evolved into a short poem format which entertained people, mostly men, by the challenge of using few sounds/syllables.  It eventually died out only to be revived by many different cultures.  To write a haiku in English, there are many techniques...too many!  Kind of mind boggling actually.  The main premise seems to be using few syllables usually in a 5-7-5 format.

This is my first attempt in years...decades!  It is not good in fact I am still rewriting it in my head.  Ha!  But it is on paper and illustrated for you.
